Resolved Question: Can I stay on my parent’s auto insurance plan if I move out of state?
I am 21 and moving to Georgia. I am currently on my parent’s plan because it is cheaper than getting my own. Does anyone know if it is still possible for me to stay on their plan if they are in Virginia and I am living in Georgia? We have Progressive, if that makes a difference.
Resolved Question: I have to insure her?
why do i have to insure someone on my car insurance since they live in my house?
i live in virginia, my daughter just moved back home. She has a bad driving record and was given a restricted license. She can drive to and from work, and to medical appointments. Problem is the ins company just called me and told me that they will not renew our policy. My daughter got laid off from work and so she isn’t driving at all now.
BUT the ins company said that I have to insure her just because she is in my home!!! I don’t think that is right. I asked them to exclude her and they are refusing and they are being quite ugly about it. This doesn’t seem fair… I mean, whats to say that my 13 year old wont get in my car and drive it????? I think that STATE AUTO in VIRGINIA is a RIP OFF!!!!
