It’s not only the “Healthcare” end of the “Insurance Industry” but also Property and Auto Insurance as well. “We’ll sell you an insurance policy no problem, but if you file a claim – we will take you to court to prove your case regardless.”
In Michigan years ago, they passed the “No-fault Insurance act” to ease the burden on the judicial system. In Michigan now, you must take your own insurance company to court, before they will even consider paying the benefits they sold you.
Insurance Companies flat-out left Louisiana after Katrina hit – without paying out a dime to the policyholders they gained profit from.
Doctors charge what they do because of the “Malpractice” premiums they MUST carry in order to do their jobs legally. Drivers MUST obtain “Auto Insurance” to drive their car legally on any public road. Mortgage holders MUST obtain a “Home-Owners” policy before they can even move into their homes.
I ask you; if we MUST buy an insurance policy and a Insurance a Company sells us one (without looking for ‘loopholes’ first), should they not be obligated to stop overwhelming our legal system and pay up, when we do make a claim?
Remember… AIG is an” Insurance Company”.
Voting Question: Auto Insurance Claim – Full Coverage?
Last week I got in an auto accident, not my fault at all. It has already been determined that my insurance will cover the repairs, minus the $500 deductible which I can get from the other person’s insurance. I have full coverage on my car and both passenger doors must be replaced. Will the new doors be custom tinted to match my other doors? The tinting was not professionally done to begin with, it was done by the guy I bought the car from. If it helps, I’m in Michigan, and insured through State Farm.
I will obviously be asking my insurance agent about this but I am waiting for them to call back, as the person I needed to talk to was out of the office when I called.
Resolved Question: Can a city in Michigan do this to people?
If one drives a foreign car they will not be allowed to park the car on city property “OR” Park in city limits to go shopping. They (Owners of Foreign cars) must park three miles away on state land and walk to the city. Also if one lives in the city limits the city will double your tax rate on your home and double your insurance on your foreign car. ( How they can make the insurance company do that is unknown) Gas stations will not be allowed to gas up foreign cars. This is being done ( According to the city fathers) to help the UAW and help American auto makers. The Police Chief wants to go a bit more harder. He wants to arrest anyone and everyone who drives a foreign car.
We feel this may be a up and coming joke because April 1st is coming in a few weeks.
