Resolved Question: Here’s my idea for a business plan: do you think I would have enough profit for lobbyists?
So, here’s my business plan.
Collect money from millions of subscribers for some regular issue. Let’s say it is auto maintenance insurance. They pay in every month and then if they have trouble, we pay for it (or at least a portion so they don’t abuse the system). But if that all works out perfectly, we won’t make any profit. We’ll just about break even. So here’s the catch: we’ll make the only way for people to get benefits needlessly bureaucratic and mind-numbing and then we’ll deny 1/3 of all claims at least for a couple of appeals. That way we make lots of profit.
Sounds like a great business plan, huh?
Think if I got this going I could afford 100s of lobbyists to prevent any sensible reform to the system. And could those lobbyists really trick 1/2 of America to oppose any reform even if it is in their best interest?
Resolved Question: Why don’t we buy our health care insurance like we buy our auto insurance?
Auto insurance companies compete for business and this keeps rates low. Why can’t we buy our health care insurance the same way? You pay $800-$1000 a year for coverage with $500 deductible. Problem solved!

P/R stands for Public relations in Obama case it’s a high priced paid lyre to swindle the public.
Yes all recent presidents regardless of party are the same as is all of corrupt representative govt both parties or any third party they may or might hold office!
Why don’t you understand how important it is for the legal citizens of USA to gain direct daily control with full legislative power over money/business/govt, plus equal shared ownership of all business to intentionally eliminate the wealthy few abusing the majority for their profits?
Rep govt/Business/employers & Obama are in the process of shifting health-care cost directly on to the public and pass laws to make you pay for it like auto and homeowners insurance laws were past.
Like everyone has the money to pay for this under our current predatory trickle-down economics system.
